Waxed Cotton Picnic Bag – Textile Skills Workshop – Friday 31st May 2024


The class will begin at 1:30pm and finish at 4:30pm.

Practical small picnic or lunch bag, made from waxed cotton, embellished with batik fabric. Easy to make but cute and useful. All materials provided. Suitable for beginners.

Either use our sewing machines or bring along your own.

About Your Tutor

The tutor for this class is Izzy Gretton. Izzy is Remake’s Textile Coordinator and her position is funded by The Gannochy Trust. Izzy has a varied background, split between her passion for textiles and the outdoors. She runs her own textile business, The Highland Designer, which specialises in hat making and has a Textiles and Apparel degree from De Montfort University. Prior to starting at Remake she was General Manager at an outdoor adventure company. She is passionate about textile reuse and passing on sewing skills to the community.
