Pattern Cutting Class – Starts Saturday 7th September 2024


Classes will begin at 10:30am and finish at 4:30pm.

This is a 3 week course. Classes will begin on Saturday 7th September. The following two classes will be held on the 14th and the 21st of September.

This class is a basic introduction to pattern cutting and design. Over 3 full days, we will be using your individual measurements to start making patterns to fit you. Starting with the basic trouser block, you will be taken through the process of measuring, adjusting and designing for your body shape and personal taste.

Suitable for intermediate sewers with experience of working with paper patterns.

About Your Tutor

The tutor for this class is Izzy Gretton. Izzy is Remake’s Textile Coordinator and her position is funded by The Gannochy Trust. Izzy has a varied background, split between her passion for textiles and the outdoors. She runs her own textile business, The Highland Designer, which specialises in hat making and has a Textiles and Apparel degree from De Montfort University. Prior to starting at Remake she was General Manager at an outdoor adventure company. She is passionate about textile reuse and passing on sewing skills to the community.
