My journey with Remake began in September 2018. When applying for the job I had no idea what to expect. All I knew was Remake was a charity with the aim of stopping usable “stuff” from entering landfill – stuff that could have a new life.
The evolution of humankind is characterised by our ability to imagine, design, make and use tools.
Remake supports young adults to be workready for the reuse sector by working with local partners, national funders and statutory agencies.
You may have heard about the new Response Hub coming to the High Street thanks to the National Lottery Supporting Communities Fund. Services will be run by Crieff ConneXions and this venue will also be the home for Remake’s new Crieff Community Tool Library.
As we get ready to open up again, Gemma tells us how volunteering at Remake has helped her meet new people and learn new things.
